The PK15 from the Italian brand Extraflame (La Nordica Extraflame) is a 15 kW pellet boiler that delivers 100% of its output to your central heating water, offering a complete alternative to a traditional gas boiler. With a capacity ranging from 4.1 to 15.0 kW, it heats up to ~431 m3 of living space via radiators or underfloor heating at an impressive efficiency of approx. 93%. Rated with energy class A+ and a 5-star (DM 186) environmental certification.

PK15 or PK15 EVO?

The PK15 is the predecessor to the PK15 EVO. Both boilers feature identical dimensions, the same flue outlet diameter of Ø 100 mm, a 75 kg hopper, and control via Total Control 2.0. The main differences lie in the details:

• Combustion chamber: the PK15 features a thick steel combustion chamber, while the EVO uses cast iron

• Minimum power: 4.1 kW for the PK15 compared to 4.4 kW for the EVO

• Efficiency: approx. 93% for the PK15 versus 93.9% - 93.6% for the EVO

• Heatable volume: 431 m3 versus 430 m3, practically identical

For most installations, both units are interchangeable. The PK15 remains a great choice when available from stock, as installation requirements, flue connection, and accessories are identical.

The PK15 features a flue pipe diameter of Ø 100 mm, with a connection on the rear or left side (lat.). Please select flue pipes and bends in Ø 100 mm. Installation must be performed by a certified technician according to applicable regulations.
