Insulation of 25 to 30 millimeters between the two walls.
One brand for the entire route, from connection piece to rain cap.
At least 10 years system warranty and a supplier that has been around for years.

Case Study: Paying Twice
A facade chimney in thin budget stainless steel costing 620 euros in materials lasted 8 years before rusting through at the condensation cap. Replacement cost 700 euros in new materials plus 800 euros in labor: a total of 2,120 euros over 8 years. The quality system costing 1,020 euros still had 20 years of warranty and lifespan left at that point.
The insurer only covered the consequential damage after a discussion, precisely because the certificate from the initial installation was missing. That document, costing 0 euros extra, turned out to be the most expensive missing part of the entire project.
